Month in Review: November

This November has left a mark in Bankera’s history as the month when the first Bankera card transaction was completed. This was a symbolic finish point to one of the major goals we have been working on since the launch of Bankera – being able to issue cards on our own.

What has been done in November?

As planned, we received the first Bankera cards and started testing them last month. This development was the result of our license sponsor Pervesk becoming a principal member of Visa card network. You can read more about it in our recent blog post.

Also, we have started and by today have completed around 80% of testing required for the support of SEPA Instant payments. Hopefully, we will be able to offer this feature to our clients in the first quarter of 2021.

Due to the increase in the cryptocurrency prices, our Know Your Customer (KYC) team has faced a backlog of clients waiting to be verified. We acted promptly and increased our KYC team by five new specialists.

We have finished the improvements of user authentication service for SpectroCoin, that are to be released in December. It will not only allow easy access of different products under the SpectroCoin brand but will also allow to use SpectroCoin mobile app as a second-factor authentication method.

What to expect in December?

This month, we are going to release Bankera’s debit cards to the public. Both plastic and virtual cards should be available for Bankera users by the second half of December. If you do not have a Bankera account yet, open one today to be among the first clients to order the Bankera card.

Also, to support debit cards integration, the major release of Bankera internet banking platform is coming this month.

On the SpectroCoin side, we are going to release the rebranded Bankera Exchange under SpectroCoin brand, offering lower trading fees. Initially, we will offer the trading pairs currently available at Bankera Exchange. However, at the beginning of 2021, we will introduce fiat pairs as well.

We will also offer a 0.05% rebate for market makers on SpectroCoin Exchange, one of the most competitive fee structures among crypto exchanges.
