A New Era of Cross Border Payments for Bankera Customers, with Mastercard Move

We are thrilled to announce a significant upgrade to our payment infrastructure. Pervesk, the licensed entity powering Bankera, has effectively become one of the first players in the Baltic region to go live with Mastercard Move, Mastercard’s portfolio of money movement solutions. To put this milestone into perspective, only a single Lithuania-licensed company went live with this solution slightly earlier last year. This integration marks a major step forward in modernizing how money travels around the world.

For our customers, the daily banking experience will remain as smooth and familiar as ever. There will not be any visible changes to the user interface or how you initiate a transfer. However, behind the scenes, our back office operations are undergoing a massive transformation. By integrating this advanced technology, your payments will become significantly faster and rely on fewer intermediaries. This makes the new system a highly effective alternative to traditional SWIFT payments, which have long been the industry standard but are often slowed down by complex correspondent banking networks.

One of the most notable advantages of this product launch is the promise of faster delivery times. The newly integrated network enables same day or near real-time cross-border transfers across most of the 15 initial corridors, with the potential to expand to more than 70 corridors in the future. This capability significantly reduces waiting periods compared to traditional payment rails, allowing businesses and individuals to manage their cash flow with unparalleled efficiency. Furthermore, Mastercard Move system operates through a proprietary network rather than relying on multiple third party intermediaries. This streamlined approach naturally lowers friction, reduces processing errors, and vastly improves overall payment reliability.

Unlike traditional messaging-based systems such as SWIFT, which separate the communication of the payment from the actual settlement of the money, this solution offers a true end-to-end payment infrastructure. This level of synchronization is directly powered by modern API driven integration, ultimately supporting greater automation and scalability across the financial sector.

Transparency is another crucial area where the new infrastructure shines. The platform provides greater fee transparency by offering clearer upfront visibility on transaction fees and foreign exchange rates. This greatly reduces the risk of unexpected intermediary deductions that often frustrate participants in international trade. Coupled with enhanced tracking and transparency features, our infrastructure now provides better payment status visibility and comprehensive reconciliation support throughout the entire transaction lifecycle.

Ultimately, these upgrades are meticulously optimized for modern digital use cases. The capabilities introduced by this launch are exceptionally well suited for personal remittances, gig economy payouts, marketplace settlements, and small to medium enterprise cross border transactions. By embracing these modern financial rails, Bankera is ensuring that our clients have access to a secure, predictable, and fast global payment network. We are proud to continue pushing the boundaries of digital finance, delivering enterprise-grade infrastructure that quietly but powerfully improves your financial operations every single day.
